I Didn’t Know That…

I didn’t know that I liked school,
The people flooding the hallways,
The class clowns making a scene in class,
And the sense of not being alone here.
I didn’t know that I enjoyed sports,
The energy coming from the crowd,
The engaging battle between home and away,
And the familiar or new faces that are remarkable.
I didn’t know that I had a passion for singing
The way my mouth moves freely,
The many lyrics that is sometimes forgettable,
And the sound that I can’t possibly ignore.
I didn’t know…that I didn’t know.
