Monsters under the Bed
By Brita Kihle
They only come out at night,
Taking your clothes and
Strewing them everywhere;
All over the place so that
Your parents begin to grow upset.
They tickle your feet and cause
You to get the shivers in the night.
Make you feel like you’re falling just
As you’re about to drift to sleep.
They hide as soon as the sun starts
To peek its rays on the horizon,
Never to be seen by anyone or anything.
They only come out at night.
