Halloween Night

by Rebecca Thomas

Our shadows slip out on Halloween night

Along with ghost and ghouls ready for flight

Our shadows pass creepy spiders on the walls

And hear soaring screams down the halls

We turn our heads to see the pumpkins light

Our fears grow strong with the dead of night

We stand below the orange moon’s might

Hand-in-hand, facing fears we stand alone in dimming light

Our fears soon slip at the end of Halloween night.
